Sky blue, sunshine yellow, coral, leaf green and lilac sit on cream paper, with light pencil grain in the colour. Characters are chunky and round with dot eyes, and their pose carries the feeling. Backgrounds are a few big shapes, such as a hill, a house and a tree.

- How is Bright & Simple different from Minimalist & Clean?
- Both use flat colour and simple shapes. Bright & Simple is warmer and fuller, with six or seven bright colours and large, chunky characters near the front of the page. Minimalist & Clean uses fewer colours and more empty space, and its characters can be quite small.
- Can I change the illustration style later?
- You pick a style each time you create a story, so stories in your library can look quite different from each other. A finished story keeps its style and can't be re-illustrated. To see another style, create a new story and choose it there.
- How does the story get personalised?
- You enter your child's name, age group and a few interests, then pick a mood, a length and an illustration style. The story is written around those choices. You can also add custom characters from a photo or a written description, so a sibling, friend or pet can join in.
